Purpose & Scientific Principle
Through testing BMI values and multimedia interaction, we will deliver healthy living knowledge to participants.
How to Operate
This exhibition item consists of a touch screen, height and weight scale, etc.
During the touch screen interaction, the audience clicks the [Test your own BMI] button, stands in the designated area to detect height and weight, enters gender and age, and the system automatically calculates the audience's BMI index and prompts whether they are obese.
Click the [Look at your favorite figure] button, select your gender, and display a picture of an artistic outline of a character similar to yourself. You can lose weight or gain weight through the weight slider scroll bar. The audience can learn about the harm of obesity to the body and gain certain knowledge about healthy living.
Body mass index (BMI) is one of the commonly used international standards for measuring body fatness and health status. It is calculated by dividing weight (kilograms) by height (meters) squared. Being too fat or too thin is not good for your health, nor does it give people a sense of fitness. A large amount of statistical data on different body types shows that a more ideal and simple index reflecting normal weight can be expressed by the relationship between height and weight. Participants can choose their own weight, watch themselves gain and lose weight, and learn about the health risks of obesity.
