How to Operate
This exhibition is composed of a touch screen and a brain model assembly. Visitors can learn about brain-related content through videos here, and can also understand the functions of various parts of the brain through the brain assembly model.
The brain is a complex and mysterious organ that controls our various thinking and behavioral activities. The brain is divided into two hemispheres, the left and right hemispheres, each controlling different parts and functions of the human body. The cerebral cortex is a complex neural network composed of hundreds of billions of neurons and various brain cells. These cells are interconnected through synapses to complete the transmission of various information and instructions in the human body. The brain controls various physiological and behavioral activities of people, such as perception, thinking, memory, emotion, movement, language, etc. The different functions of various brain regions (such as frontal lobe, temporal lobe, occipital lobe, etc.) have also been gradually studied and confirmed by scientists.
Brain waves refer to the electrical signals produced by neurons in the brain as they work. Brain waves have four frequency ranges, namely delta waves, theta waves, alpha waves and beta waves. Different frequencies represent different states of neural activity. For example, alpha waves can reflect relaxation and meditation states, and theta waves can reflect sleep states, etc.
