Purpose & Scientific Principle

The exhibits use VR interaction to vividly present the process of understanding the Chinese sturgeon's predation, allowing children to understand the habits of the Chinese sturgeon during operational exploration.

How to Operate

The exhibition items consist of Chinese sturgeon head models, VR equipment, interactive multimedia systems, booths, and electronic control systems.

The exhibition item has VR glasses embedded in the Chinese sturgeon head model. There are interactive handles on both sides of the model. The audience puts their heads into the Chinese sturgeon head model and transforms into a Chinese sturgeon. They control the Chinese sturgeon to swim and hunt prey through the handles, allowing the audience to understand the living environment of the Chinese sturgeon and how the Chinese sturgeon hunts prey.

The Chinese sturgeon is a large anadromous fish unique to China and one of the most primitive fish species existing in the world.

The sturgeon is a species that lived in the same era as the dinosaurs. It first appeared in the Early Triassic period 230 million years ago. It is a veritable "living fossil". To this day, the sturgeon still retains the characteristics of these primitive species. Its body surface is covered with five rows of hard scales, its tail is long and the caudal fin is crooked, and its mouth is located on the ventral surface.
