Purpose & Scientific Principle
Through the phantom imaging theater, the exhibition restores the historical scenes of the first and second wave-particle battles, and sets up Newton's light dispersion-color combination experiment and Fresnel lens interactive device, allowing the audience to have close contact with real scientific experiments and understand the process of scientists' debate on the wave nature and particle nature of light before the birth of quantum mechanics.
How to Operate
The exhibition items are composed of phantom theater, prism dispersion and color combination device, Fresnel lens, etc. The circular open space is divided into four parts: the Phantom Theater performs two scientific plays "Newton and Hooke and Huygens's Debate" and "Fresnel's Questioning"; the left and right sides are respectively equipped with Newton's dispersion-color experimental device and Fresnel lens experimental device; the fourth part introduces in detail the story of the two wave-particle battles and related scientists in the form of chronological pictures and texts.
Use phantom imaging technology to create a holographic theater and display two scientific dramas, namely "Newton's Debate with Hooke and Huygens" and "Fresnel's Questioning"; reproduce Newton's spectroscopic experiment through mechanical interactive devices, and completely demonstrate the scientific process of white light dispersion → merger → redispersion; use physical Fresnel lens equipment to visually display the shape characteristics and optical effects of Fresnel lenses.
