Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibition simulates experimental scenarios of non-field-of-view imaging on a transparent screen through electromechanical multimedia interaction to learn about the application of quantum precision measurement technology in the field of detection.
How to Operate
When no one is operating, the transparent screen shows the principles and differences between traditional non-viewing field imaging and quantum technology non-viewing field imaging. There are 4 buttons on the screen, and the first 3 buttons control the lifting and lowering of the 3 models inside the booth respectively. When the audience presses any model button, the baffle rises, and then the model behind the baffle rises randomly, synchronously emitting multiple single photons to the diffuse reflection wall, illuminating the objects behind the wall, and then the transparent screen changes from blurry to clear to display the model photo. The audience presses the "Reveal the Answer" button, and the baffle drops to see the model. The audience can compare it with the image on the transparent screen to verify whether the photo is consistent with the physical model.
Non-field of view imaging, as the name suggests, means that you can see blocked objects, just like the "see-through eye" often mentioned in movies and science fiction novels. With the help of quantum technology, we can hope to realize this magical ability. We irradiate a beam of pulsed laser onto the wall, which is reflected by the wall into the unknown scene. Then the objects in the unknown scene will reflect the received diffuse light back to the wall, and the signal is finally received by the detector. By processing the received spatio-temporal signals through certain algorithms, the perspective function can be realized. This exhibition simulates the realization process of non-viewpoint imaging through electromechanical multimedia interaction and demonstrates the magical application of quantum precision measurement technology.
