Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibition uses fiber optic vibration sensing technology to record the fluctuations generated by the audience's jumping, which produces ripples like "jumping into water". It displays electron diffraction ripples, wave shapes and interference states, allowing the audience to understand the concepts of electron diffraction and matter waves while jumping happily.
How to Operate
This exhibition is equipped with an LED screen on the top and an optical fiber sensing device on the ground. When someone jumps under the screen, the fiber optic sensor senses vibrations, which ripples and interferes on the top screen, as if the object fell into water.
The exhibition item is surrounded by a circle of optical fiber vibration detection devices on the ground. This device can shield vibrations outside the circle by detecting coordinate points, and accurately feeds back information such as the position and intensity of vibrations in the circle on the top screen, instantly displaying circles of ripples, demonstrating the concepts of electron diffraction and matter waves.
