Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibition restores optical phenomena such as pinhole imaging recorded in the "Mozi" through optical-mechanical interaction, introduces Mozi's life and scientific achievements, explains the concepts of "end" and "quantum", and reveals its relationship with the "Mozi" quantum science experimental satellite.
How to Operate
The exhibition items are composed of screen partitions, wall holes, LED screens, etc. The "Mo Jing" is engraved on a screen shaped like bamboo slips, and concepts such as "beginning" and "end" are enlarged. There are two types of holes of different heights on the screen: smaller imaging holes and larger observation holes. The audience found the imaging hole and used a pull-out acrylic plate as a light screen to do a small hole imaging experiment, allowing the inverse image of the missing text in the "Mo Jing" on the bamboo slips to be projected. In addition, you can also watch the video content from the observation hole to learn about the "Mo Jing" and Mozi's scientific achievements.
Based on the principle of small hole imaging, luminous text is set inside and a pullable square tube structure is set on the screen. The frosted acrylic on the outside of the square tube can be used as a light screen to receive the inverted image of the luminous text produced by the small holes on the screen.
