Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibition item brings together the questions of quantum mechanics. The audience can get answers to common quantum mechanics questions through the turntable interaction, thereby forming a preliminary conceptual understanding of the quantum knowledge in the exhibition hall. At the same time, the audience can also plan a tour route for the audience.
How to Operate
The exhibition items gather the knowledge overview of the entire exhibition area. The core components are composed of mechanical discs, LED circular screens, etc. There are many hidden "quantum questions" on the wall, which flicker in light and dark with the rhythm of breathing. The audience rotates the outer edge of the mechanical disc to drive the turntable. At this time, the "Quantum Question" will flash randomly as the turntable rotates rapidly. When the turntable stops, the system will randomly light up a question on the wall, play a concise answer on the circular screen, and recommend the visiting route corresponding to the question for the audience. If the viewer slowly spins the wheel, the questions will light up in order, making it easy to select a specific question to watch the answer. Questions include: What does quantum mechanics mean? What does quantization mean? Is a quantum a particle? What is the nature of light? How do you know quantum mechanics is correct? What do atoms actually look like? Is "Schrödinger's cat" alive or dead? What is the significance of quantum communication technology? What are the advantages of quantum computers? What is quantum mechanics used for? Is "Quantum Mechanics Indecision" Right?
The interactive turntable is designed based on the slewing bearing components: the outer ring is for the audience to rotate, and the inner ring is equipped with indicator lights. When rotating quickly, the indicator lights flash in random steps, visually presenting the principle of quantum uncertainty; when rotating slowly, it switches to sequential mode, and the question indicators light up one by one clockwise, allowing you to select specific questions.
