Purpose & Scientific Principle
In solid geometry, section refers to cutting a geometric body with a plane, and the resulting plane figure is called a section. The shape of the geometric section may be a circle, an ellipse, or a polygon, such as a trapezoid, a triangle, a quadrilateral, a hexagon, etc. Classified according to the position of the section, it mainly includes: cross section, plane section, straight section, oblique section, axial section, etc.
How to Operate
Demonstrates the characteristics of geometric cross-sections through electromechanical interaction. The audience places various transparent material geometric props (cylinder, cone, prism, pyramid, etc.) within the range of the laser beam cutting surface, and the cross-sectional shape of the cut place can be clearly seen on the geometry.
1. Place various geometric props within the cutting surface;
2. Observe the cross-sectional shape of the cut point on the geometry.
