Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibition allows the audience to explore the principles of animation, understand the phenomenon of persistence of vision, and use their creativity to create animations.
How to Operate
The exhibition items are mainly composed of motors, turntables, card slots, knobs, buttons, strobe lights, protective covers, etc.
The interactive experience of exhibits is better in a darker environment. During the interaction, the audience clicks the start button, and the motor starts to drive the turntable to rotate, and the cartoon model on the turntable rotates synchronously; turn the knob to adjust the frequency of the strobe light, find the most matching frequency, and observe whether the cartoon model on the turntable becomes alive and moving?
When the turntable stops, the audience can remove the cartoon models from the turntable slots or arrange them freely to see whether the animation effect is smooth. Or adjust the frequency of the strobe light with the knob, and then check whether the animation effect is smooth. Understand the principle of persistence of vision through comparative observation.
Audiences can also select other cartoon model files in the "Maker Workshop", 3D print them, and install them on the turntable to create new animations. Of course, viewers who are interested in 3D modeling can also design their own animation models and process them in the "Maker Workshop" to create their own animation works.
The exhibits are modeled through three-dimensional modeling, followed by animation simulation, taking out action scenes with the same number of frames, and building the model, and then using the persistence of vision phenomenon to achieve the interactive effect of the exhibit items.
