Purpose & Scientific Principle
Due to the different shapes of connecting components, simple small wooden blocks can be derived into ever-changing combinations. The exhibits are interactive through mortise and tenon building blocks, which enhances the audience's spatial imagination and construction ability.
How to Operate
The exhibits consist of operating tables, mortise and tenon building blocks, etc.
The table top is divided into three interactive areas, namely the mortise and tenon educational building block interactive area, the mortise and tenon building construction area and the mortise and tenon bridge construction area. Each area is independent of each other to avoid confusion. Each interactive area is equipped with 3 sets of corresponding mortise and tenon building blocks.
The mortise and tenon structure combines the wisdom of traditional Chinese mechanics, mathematics, aesthetics and philosophy, and is the soul of classical Chinese wood craftsmanship. A large number of mortise and tenon building blocks are provided on the table. The audience can freely choose and build various ancient architectural models or wooden arch bridge models according to the drawings, learn about the connection method of the components of the mortise and tenon structure, and feel the wisdom of the ancients.
The exhibits are divided into areas using the countertop, and three different mortise and tenon modules are set up to make the exhibits more accessible to a wider audience. At the same time, three interactive stations are set up on the countertop through regional division, so that the building block modules will not be chaotic and easy to manage.
