Purpose & Scientific Principle

The principle of plane mirror imaging is to follow the law of reflection of light. The law of reflection of light means that the reflected light, the incident light and the normal line are on the same plane; the reflected light and the incident light are separated on both sides of the normal line. The reflection angle is equal to the incident angle. This exhibition brings the audience a magical optical journey by setting up a maze composed of multiple groups of flat glass mirrors.

How to Operate

This exhibition mainly consists of glass mirrors, LED lighting, soft rods, emergency lighting systems, graphics, etc. The exhibition item is a mirror maze composed of multiple glass mirrors. The angle between the glass mirrors is 120 degrees. The adjacent mirrors form a honeycomb shape. A set of channels is designed in it, and LED lighting is installed in the channel. Both ends of the passage serve as entrances and exits for the exhibition items. When participating in the activity, the audience receives a soft stick at the entrance and enters the maze. If they cannot distinguish the passage forward, they can try tapping the soft stick left and right to confirm whether it is a real "wall". Finally, the audience will reach the exit of the maze along the passage and complete the experience activity. Emergency lighting is installed inside the exhibits. When an unexpected power outage occurs to the exhibits, the emergency lighting will be activated to guide the audience to evacuate outside the maze in time. On the outer ring of the optical maze, pictures and texts are used to show the special effects of different optical lens combinations.

1. The audience receives a soft stick at the entrance and enters the maze, and uses the soft stick to tap the left and right mirrors as they advance through the maze;

2. Walk along the passage to the exit of the maze to complete the experience activity.
