Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibits allow the audience to observe the interesting phenomenon of light reflection imaging through interactive experience, and guide the audience to explore the scientific principles involved.
How to Operate
Light is reflected when it encounters water, glass, and many other surfaces. When light changes its propagation direction at the interface between two substances and returns to the original substance, it is called reflection of light. The law of reflection of light: the reflected ray, the incident ray and the normal line are on the same plane; the reflected ray and the incident ray are separated on both sides of the normal line; the reflection angle is equal to the incident angle. This is the principle of plane mirror imaging.
Plane mirror imaging is a physical phenomenon. It means that the light from the sun or lamp shines on the person, is reflected on the mirror surface, and the plane mirror reflects the light into the person's eyes, so we see our own virtual image in the plane mirror. When you look in the mirror, you can see another "you" in the mirror. The "person" in the mirror is your "image". In mirror imaging, what you see to your left is still on the left, and what you see to your right is still on the right. But if two people are facing each other, your left is to the other person's right, and your right is to the other person's left. This effect is also called mirroring.
