Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibits use a combination of simulated anatomical models and projections to display the internal structure, facility functions, and astronauts' work and life scenes of the "Tianhe" core module, allowing the audience to observe and understand the achievements of my country's space station construction at close range, feel the great achievements of my country's aerospace industry, and inspire national pride and self-confidence.
How to Operate
The "Tianhe" core module is the main module of the Chinese space station "Tiangong" to achieve assembly control and management. It was launched by the Long March 5B Yao-2 carrier rocket at the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan on April 29, 2021. The total length of the core cabin section is 16.6 meters, the maximum diameter of the cabin is 4.2 meters, and the take-off mass is 22.5 tons. It is mainly composed of node cabins, small column sections, large column sections, rear passages and resource cabins, and has long-term autonomous flight capabilities. The "Tianhe" core module is not only the largest and most complex spacecraft independently developed by our country, but also has the ability to carry out rendezvous and docking, translocation and parking, long-term crew residence, astronaut exit, and support for space science experiments. At the same time, the cabin is also equipped with a work area, a sleeping area, a sanitary area, a dining area, a medical supervision area and an exercise area, which can provide comfortable and good conditions for astronauts to work and live in orbit.
The exhibits focus on showing the internal structure of the "Tianhe" core module and the astronauts' work and life scenes in orbit.
