Purpose & Scientific Principle
This exhibit combines physical models with multimedia interaction to display the shape and structure of the latest Tiangong Space Station, as well as the workflow and scientific principles of rendezvous and docking. The audience can not only look up and observe the scaled-down model of the Tiangong Space Station, but also learn about the scientific knowledge of automatic and manual control of the docking of the space station through interesting multimedia interactions.
How to Operate
The Chinese Space Station consists of five modules: the core module, the experimental module Mengtian, the experimental module Wentian, the manned spacecraft (the already named "Shenzhou" spacecraft) and the cargo spacecraft (Tianzhou-1 spacecraft). Each aircraft is an independent aircraft with independent flight capabilities, and can be combined with the core module to form a variety of space combinations. They work together under the unified dispatch of the core module to complete various tasks undertaken by the space station. Space rendezvous and docking refers to the technology of two spacecrafts meeting in space orbit and structurally connecting them into a whole. It is a prerequisite for realizing on-orbit services such as space assembly, recovery, supply, maintenance, astronaut exchange and rescue of space stations, space shuttles, space platforms and space transportation systems.
The "Space Station Rendezvous and Docking" exhibit focuses on displaying the scientific knowledge of the Tiangong Space Station's rendezvous and docking.
