Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibits are linked with the exhibits "02-05 The Formation of the Sun and the Solar System" and "02-10 Asteroid Belt" to create a micro theater to regularly interpret the birth and movement of the eight planets, allowing the audience to intuitively experience the movement patterns of the eight planets in the solar system.
How to Operate
The eight planets refer to the eight major planets in the solar system. From closest to farthest from the sun, they are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Most of the eight planets rotate in the same direction as their revolution. The only two exceptions are Venus and Uranus. Venus rotates in the opposite direction to its revolution, while Uranus rotates "lying" at an angle of 97° to its orbit.
The exhibits focus on showing the appearance, direction and speed of the eight planets. The linked hanging sun lights up in sequence at regular intervals and moves along its orbit, creating an atmosphere of immersion in the starry universe and showing the charm of the eight planets in the solar system.
