Purpose & Scientific Principle
Through this exhibition, the audience can learn about China's science and technology development history since the founding of New China, as well as Anhui's scientific and technological development achievements and scientific and technological development goals in recent years, aiming to promote Chinese cultural confidence and scientific self-confidence.
How to Operate
Part One: History of China’s Science and Technology Development. It starts with the words of General Secretary Xi Jinping to introduce the important role of science and technology in national development and construction. From the five milestone stages of "advance toward science", "spring of science", "rejuvenating the country through science and education", "adherence to independent innovation" and "innovation-driven development", a general review of the scientific and technological development process of New China shows that China has achieved the goal of being an innovative country. The conclusion points out that China has moved towards the new goal of building a world power in science and technology and becoming self-reliant in high-level science and technology. Part Two: Anhui’s scientific and technological achievements. The opening chapter highlights Anhui’s efforts to gather innovation and development momentum, its goal of building a source of scientific and technological innovation, and its achievements in ranking seventh in the country in terms of innovation capabilities. Then it elaborates on the work carried out by Anhui in recent years in scientific and technological innovation from the following aspects: "Scientific and technological policies have vigorously supported R&D investment and R&D investment continues to increase"; "Scientific research platforms have been steadily built, and the talent strategy has achieved remarkable results"; "The quantity and quality of scientific and technological output have increased, and major achievements have continued to emerge"; "Entrepreneurship and innovation vitality has burst out, and corporate innovation has become increasingly active". Finally, it ends with what General Secretary Xi said during his inspection in Anhui, expressing Anhui’s determination to take innovative development as its core and contribute to the country’s achievement of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance. Part Three: Interactive Inquiry Part. According to the scientific research fields of the Chinese Academy of Sciences: agricultural sciences, botany and zoology, ecology and environmental sciences, earth sciences, clinical medicine, biological sciences, chemistry and materials sciences, physics, astronomy and astrophysics, mathematics, information science (the three major humanities and social sciences categories of economics, psychology and other social sciences are not mentioned yet), the results of 11 major scientific research fields and the displays of famous scientists.
The exhibition item contains 7 groups of column-type LED screens, which form a complete screen. Through the movement of the mechanism, they form 7 independent display screens with a layout of four in the front and three in the back. The combination of full-screen multimedia presentation and multi-screen non-contact interaction allows the public to understand the development of China's science and technology, appreciate the achievements of China's science and technology, and feel the spirit of scientists who are the backbone of the Republic.
