Purpose & Scientific Principle
In mathematics, a minimal surface refers to a surface with an average curvature of zero. In physics, an example of a very small surface obtained by minimizing the area can be a soap bubble blown out after being dipped in soap liquid. The extremely thin surface film of a soap bubble is called the soap film, which is the smallest surface area required to satisfy the surrounding air conditions and the shape of the bubble blower.
How to Operate
The exhibition items are mainly composed of booths, containers, soap liquid, lights, wire props in different shapes, etc. When the audience participates, they press the button and the electric lifting mechanism will immerse various props in the soap bucket and take them out to watch the curved surface (minimum curved surface) formed by the wonderful soap film. An explanation board on the booth introduced the application of minimal surfaces in daily life and scientific research.
1. Press the button, immerse the prop into the soap bucket and take it out;
2. Watch the curved surface (minimum curved surface) formed by the wonderful soap film.
