Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibition items are composed of colorful paper clips, giant electromagnetic coils, buttons, etc. Press the "External Sound Source" button, plug the audio connector into the built-in sound source that is playing music, and observe the paper clip's status changes; or directly press the "Auto Play" button to observe the paper clip's ever-changing dance under different music rhythms. Why do paper clips "dance" in an orderly manner to the rhythm of music? Paper clips are made of iron and can be attracted by magnets. This attraction is caused by the presence of a magnetic field around the magnet. There is a coil under the paperclip stage. When the coil is energized, it generates a magnetic field and becomes an electric "magnet." The voltage across the coil fluctuates with the rhythm of the music, and the strength of the magnetic field also changes accordingly. When the magnetic field becomes stronger, the paper clip overcomes its own gravity and "stands up"; when the magnetic field becomes weak, the paper clip is pulled down by gravity. So, the paper clip danced to the rhythm of the music. Maglev trains also use the principle of electricity to generate magnetism. If you place a compass around a live wire, does it still guide?
How to Operate
