Purpose & Scientific Principle
According to the reflection of electromagnetic waves on the surface of the metal conductor, the absorption inside the metal conductor, and the loss during the transmission process, the continued transmission of electromagnetic wave energy is hindered and plays a shielding role. Shields such as shells, boxes, and plates made of metal are a method of confining electromagnetic waves to a certain area. Since the radiation sources are divided into electric field sources in the near area, magnetic field sources and plane waves in the far area, the shielding performance of the shield varies according to the radiation source, in terms of material selection, structural shape and hole leakage control.
How to Operate
Operation method: Place two metal mesh covers with different densities on the working radio to observe the electromagnetic wave shielding phenomenon.
The exhibition items are composed of metal mesh covers and radios of different densities. Participants fastened metal mesh covers with different densities to the working radio and observed the shielding effects of the two mesh covers on electromagnetic waves.
