Purpose & Scientific Principle

It aims to allow the audience to independently become curious about electromagnetism through various interesting and surprising discharge phenomena; and combines the historical classic experiments of famous scientists such as Faraday and Tesla with the device to vividly reproduce the near-miss electromagnetic phenomena, allowing the audience to understand the electrical experiments such as capturing electricity and storing electricity done by scientists in history; and while watching the exhibition and teaching performances, they will be deeply impressed by electricity and feel the scientific spirit of having the courage to challenge authority.

How to Operate

The angry crown experiment makes use of the principle of static electricity - static electricity has the characteristics of discharge along the tip and repulsion of the same sex. When a high voltage is applied to the human body, the hair on the human body is equivalent to many tips and accumulates the most charges. Since the same charges repel each other, the hair spreads out and stands up.

Participants stood on an insulating platform and placed their hands on a high-voltage electrostatic ball. When the demonstrator presses the power switch, he can see the participants standing on the insulating platform with their hair standing up under the action of electrostatic repulsion, showing a "furious" scene. At the same time, participants stand on the insulating platform and are always in a state of equipotential, so no electric shock injuries will occur.

Through fun interactions, the exhibits demonstrate the strange phenomenon of hair standing on end and reveal the principle of repulsion of similar charges, allowing visitors to discover the magic of static electricity during the novel experience, give full play to their creativity, and apply science to life.
