Purpose & Scientific Principle
Law of Conservation of Energy: Energy will neither be created out of thin air nor disappear out of thin air. It can only be converted from one form to another, or transferred from one object to another. During the process of transformation or transfer, its total amount remains unchanged. The ball has potential energy when it is at a high place. When the ball starts to fall, its potential energy is gradually converted into kinetic energy; when the ball starts to move upward, its kinetic energy is gradually converted into potential energy.
How to Operate
The exhibition item consists of 2 sets of tracks and balls of different shapes. Place the ball at different heights, and let the ball slide freely along different-shaped tracks from the high place, and finally reach the lowest position of the track. Understand the energy conversion process by observing the movement of the ball. The surrounding walls are marked with relevant physical formulas and energy conversion processes.
