Purpose & Scientific Principle
This exhibition shows the invisible static electricity in life to the audience in the form of a physical ball moving under its influence. The main purpose is to inspire the audience to use existing knowledge through intuitive phenomena and explore the mysteries behind the phenomena through serious thinking and analysis.
How to Operate
The principle of electrostatic rolling ball is the interaction between electrostatic induction and charges.
High-voltage static electricity has a strong adsorption ability, especially for metal objects. When the metal ball is stationary, due to the adsorption of high-voltage static electricity, the small ball will roll towards the high-voltage static generator and will hit the high-voltage electrode. This will make the ball also have a positive charge, thus creating a repulsive force that will push the ball to the edge. When the ball hits the ground at the edge, the ball loses its charge, making the ball uncharged and attracted by high-voltage static electricity, resulting in reciprocating motion.
