Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibition item uses mechanical transmission mechanisms such as gears, chains, and connecting rods to make the fish's mouth, tail, and fins slowly move, like a fish swimming in the water. Through interactive experience, the audience can have a more intuitive understanding of various mechanical transmission mechanisms. A mechanical transmission that uses gear teeth to mesh with each other to transmit power and motion between shafts. Gear transmission is widely used and is characterized by compact structure, high efficiency, long life, reliable operation, and accurate transmission ratio; however, the manufacturing accuracy and installation accuracy are required to be high, otherwise the noise will be greater and the gear load-bearing capacity will be reduced. Gear transmission is the most widely used transmission form in mechanical transmission. Chain drive is a transmission method that transmits the movement and power of a driving sprocket with a special tooth shape to a driven sprocket with a special tooth shape through a chain. Our common bicycles use chain transmission, automobile engines use a crank connecting rod mechanism, and automobile reduction gearboxes use gear transmission.
How to Operate
The exhibition items consist of a booth, a bionic mechanical fish, a handwheel, etc. The bionic fish has a cartoon shape. Each part of the "fish" is linked together by gears, chains, connecting rods, etc., and finally connected to the handwheel. When the audience shakes the handle, the transmission mechanism drives the fish to start rotating. Through the simple rotation of the handle, the power is transmitted to various parts of the mechanical fish through different forms of movement, so that a vivid fish is displayed in front of the audience. Through interaction, the audience can understand the ingenious beauty of transmission structure and mechanical design.
The audience turns the hand wheel and watches how the mechanical fish swims freely.
