Purpose & Scientific Principle
This exhibition simulates the working principle of an electric motor, which is mainly composed of a stator, a rotor, and a moving mechanism. Two stators made of magnets and non-magnetic materials are located on the left and right sides of the rotor. Through the moving mechanism, the stator and rotor made of magnets form an electric motor, and the rotor will rotate when power is supplied. The reverse movement mechanism is a motor composed of a stator and a rotor made of non-magnetic materials. After power is supplied, the rotor will not move.
How to Operate
An electric motor is a device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. It is made by utilizing the phenomenon of an energized coil rotating under force in a magnetic field. The purpose of this exhibition is to let the audience understand that energized coils and magnetic fields are necessary conditions for the operation of electric motors.
Move the handle up and down and observe the rotation of the rotor, leading the audience to conclude that the electric coil and magnetic field are necessary conditions for the operation of the motor.
