Purpose & Scientific Principle
An electromagnet is a device that generates electromagnetism when energized. A conductive winding matching its power is wound around the outside of the iron core. This coil carrying current is magnetic like a magnet. It is also called an electromagnet. This exhibition allows the audience to understand the characteristics and practical effects of electromagnets through participating in interactions.
How to Operate
This exhibition mainly consists of a booth, 2 electromagnets, a digital display, buttons and some small nails. Two piers are set up on the stand, each consisting of an electromagnet surrounded by a coil. The audience presses the "power on" button, the exhibition item starts to be energized, and the digital display starts timing. When the two bridge piers are energized, magnetism is generated. The audience places the iron nails on the bridge piers. When the small iron nails are close to the magnet, under the action of the magnet, the iron nails will attract each other. Therefore, multiple iron nails can be connected end to end to connect the bridge piers. The audience must complete the construction of the nail bridge within the power-on time.
Combined exhibits and electric motor models share a booth.
1. The audience presses the "power on" button and then puts the nails on the bridge piers;
2. Complete the construction of the nail bridge within the power-on time.
