Purpose & Scientific Principle
The concave pot evenly bonds the metal sheets, and the electrodes of the two adjacent metal sheets are opposite. When the handwheel is turned, the two electrostatic discs of the Wimhus induction motor rotate in opposite directions to generate static electricity, which energizes the positive and negative poles. The surface of the interactive ball is coated with a conductive coating. When it is put in, it will be negatively charged when it passes the negative electrode, and then it will be repelled by the negative electrode and attracted by the positive electrode. After reaching the positive electrode, it will be positively charged, and this cycle will perform a gyrating motion.
How to Operate
The exhibition item consists of a bowl with a circle of iron sheets, an acrylic pitching mouth, a small ball and a button. When participating, the audience presses the "start" button and puts the ball into the bowl through the pitching port. Observing the movement of the ball in the bowl, you will find that the ball is constantly spinning in the bowl. Through interaction and observation, the audience learns that positive and negative charges of the same sex repel and opposite sexes attract.
1. Press the "Start" button and observe the movement of the ball in the bowl.
2. Turn the handwheel and observe that the two electrifying plates of the Wimhus induction generator rotate in opposite directions to generate electrostatic discharge sparks.
