Purpose & Scientific Principle

This exhibit uses a projection interactive game to let the audience understand the basic principles of hydrogen energy utilization, inspires them to learn the methods and technologies of hydrogen energy utilization, and guides the audience to pay attention to the application of hydrogen energy in daily energy production activities.

How to Operate

Hydrogen energy is energy produced by the reaction of hydrogen and oxygen. Hydrogen energy is the chemical energy of hydrogen. Hydrogen mainly appears in the form of chemical compounds on the earth. It is the most widely distributed substance in the universe. It constitutes 75% of the mass of the universe and is a secondary energy source. There are many ways to produce hydrogen in industry. Common ones include hydrogen production by water electrolysis, hydrogen production by coal gasification, and catalytic conversion of heavy oil and natural gas steam.

Hydrogen has high volatility and high energy, and is an energy carrier and fuel. Hydrogen is also widely used in industrial production. Industry currently uses 550 billion cubic meters of hydrogen per year. Hydrogen is used together with other substances to make ammonia and fertilizers. It is also used in gasoline refining processes, glass polishing, gold welding, weather balloon detection and the food industry. Liquid hydrogen can be used as rocket fuel.

The main advantages of hydrogen energy are: high combustion calorific value. The heat generated by burning the same mass of hydrogen is about 3 times that of gasoline, 3.9 times that of alcohol, and 4.5 times that of coke. The product of combustion is water, the cleanest energy source in the world. Rich in resources, hydrogen can be produced from water, and water is the most abundant resource on the earth. It demonstrates the classic process of recycling and sustainable development of natural materials. Common methods of utilizing hydrogen energy include: fuel cells, hydrogen directly producing steam for power generation, and hydrogen directly used as fuel for power generation. Using hydrogen energy to generate electricity has the advantages of low noise, high efficiency, fast start-up, and low cost.

The exhibits aim to demonstrate the principles of hydrogen energy utilization. By using the combination of hydrogen and oxygen to generate electric energy as an entry point, setting up a styling booth, and combining it with a multimedia game, the audience can complete the projecting of "oxygen" balls to hit hydrogen protons, and use laser radar to identify the electric energy generated in the game screen, which vividly and interestingly demonstrates the conversion process from hydrogen energy to electric energy.
