Purpose & Scientific Principle

The exhibits use earth trees, dome projections and light shows to show the consequences of rising temperatures and explain to the audience the importance of carbon reduction to the earth's ecology and human development. Let the audience immersively experience the scientific connotation and significance of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality", and feel the concept of jointly building a community of life between man and nature.

How to Operate

In 2007, British writer Linus' book "Six Degrees of Change: The Future of an Increasingly Hot Planet" pointed out the terrible consequences of rising temperatures. The National Geographic Channel also explored this theory in the program "Six Degrees of Change."

•If the temperature rises by 1℃, the US granary will turn into a desert, and the African desert will turn into a mulberry field.

•The temperature will rise by 2°C, sea water will rise by 7 meters, and 1/3 of the animals and plants will die.

•The temperature rises by 3℃, the climate is completely out of control, and an ecological disaster is staged.

•The temperature will rise by 4°C, human food rations will be tight, and Europeans will migrate.

•If the temperature rises by 5 to 6 degrees Celsius, the earth will face a complete disaster.

A research report on the geological carbon sink potential of Anhui Province shows that Anhui Province has huge carbon dioxide geological storage potential and can store nearly 90 billion tons of carbon dioxide.

Famous ecological carbon sinks include:

•Langya Mountain, Huangshan, Tianzhu Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain, Huangzangyu, Huizhou, Dalong Mountain, Zipeng Mountain, Huangfu Mountain, Tiantangzhai, Qiyun Mountain and other forest carbon sinks;

•Wetland carbon sinks such as Chao Lake, Huating Lake, and Nan Fei River;

• Lava carbon sinks such as Taiji Cave, Penglai Fairy Cave, and Ziwei Cave;

Daliu Grassland, Huangzhai Grassland and other grassland carbon sinks.

The exhibits are based on artistic shapes of trees and earth. The tree crown gradually transforms into a huge spherical crown. Combined with the LED lights hidden on the tree trunks and the projection on the spherical crown, the rise in temperature is cleverly integrated with practical scenes to express carbon on the earth and changes in the landscape, Anhui's ecological carbon sink and other contents. Provide the public with immersive knowledge to uncover the mystery of "double carbon".

The exhibits allow young people to experience the concept of jointly building a community of life between man and nature, and guide them to actively participate in carbon reduction actions based on their own circumstances.
