Purpose & Scientific Principle
Picture and text introduction to let the public know more about "double carbon".
How to Operate
In order to actively respond to climate change, on September 22, 2020, our country solemnly declared at the 75th United Nations General Assembly that it will increase its nationally determined contribution, adopt more powerful policies and measures, strive to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030, and strive to achieve carbon neutrality before 2060.
The proposal of the "dual carbon" goal demonstrates my country's mission and responsibility as a responsible major country. It is an inevitable choice to solve outstanding problems of resource and environmental constraints and realize the sustainable development of the Chinese nation. It is a solemn commitment to building a community with a shared future for mankind. Taking advantage of the catalytic effect of the "dual carbon" strategy, all countries, industries, and industries are bound to the same development goal, and the goal of a community with a shared future for mankind has become unprecedentedly unified. (Excerpt from online)
Carbon peak refers to the peak of carbon dioxide emissions, which is a concept at a point in time. This is an indicator used to consider that at a certain point in time, the carbon dioxide emissions of a carbon-emitting organization (which can be a country or enterprise, an industry, or an individual) reach a peak and stop growing, and then gradually decrease.
Carbon neutrality is a carbon emission organization that measures the total amount of carbon emissions produced directly or indirectly in a period of time, and offsets its own carbon dioxide emissions through other carbon reduction behaviors, such as the use of green energy, energy conservation and emission reduction, tree planting, etc., to achieve relatively "zero emissions" of carbon dioxide. Currently, carbon neutrality is an important goal and direction to prevent greenhouse gases from affecting climate change.
The exhibits start from the knowledge concept of "double carbon", select 18 related knowledge points with pictures and texts, and use a pull-out panel structure to show the public the current status of the carbon emission crisis. 18 groups of pull-out pictures and texts can meet the needs of multiple people for interactive participation.
