Purpose & Scientific Principle
Through interactive operations, the public can understand how light pipes are used in buildings, learn how to use natural light to achieve zero-carbon lighting, and reduce building energy and carbon emissions.
How to Operate
Architectural lighting is an important part of building energy consumption. In addition to using energy-saving lighting equipment to reduce emissions, making full use of natural sunlight can also achieve near-zero carbon emissions.
The light pipe lighting system is a lighting system that collects natural light and transmits it to the room through pipes for natural light illumination. Its basic principle is to efficiently collect outdoor natural light through a lighting cover and introduce it into the system for redistribution. After being transmitted through a specially made light pipe, the diffusion device at the bottom will illuminate the natural light evenly and efficiently to any place where light is needed.
The light pipe system has the advantages of energy saving, environmental protection, safety and long-lasting effect. It not only provides natural lighting, but also has good heat insulation performance.
The exhibits are equipped with light guides made using the principle of light reflection. The audience uses light guides to connect the light source and the miniature city building model scene box. The light reflection principle is used to guide the light into the city building model scene box to illuminate the interior of the model.
