Through interaction, the sources of pollution in the atmosphere, water, and soil are intuitively displayed to the public, as well as the main measures and results of the three major battles to defend blue sky, clear water, and pure land.
How to Operate
The "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Comprehensively Strengthening Ecological Environmental Protection and Resolutely Fighting the Battle of Pollution Prevention and Control" proposes to resolutely win the battle to defend the blue sky, focus on the battle to defend the clear water, solidly advance the battle to defend the pure land, accelerate ecological protection and restoration, and reform and improve the ecological environment governance system.
Blue Sky Defense War
Air pollution is a phenomenon in which certain substances, such as dust, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and other pollutants, enter the atmosphere due to human activities or natural processes. After a certain period of time, they accumulate to a certain concentration, causing harm to human health and the natural environment.
Air pollution in industrial areas and cities is mainly caused by human production and living activities, especially stationary pollution from industrial production and mobile pollution from transportation, which emit greenhouse gases and waste gases into the atmosphere, directly leading to an increase in carbon emissions.
Our country has passed legislation and revised the "Atmospheric Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China", formulated a series of standards and plans to prevent and control air pollution, further adjusted the energy structure, promoted the production and use of clean energy; optimized the transportation structure, carried out special rectification of excessive emissions from diesel trucks; strengthened inspections and strict supervision and management in accordance with the law, and launched a comprehensive war to defend the blue sky.

In the past 10 years, the average concentration of PM2.5 in 74 key cities across the country has dropped by 56%, the number of heavily polluted days has decreased by 87%, and blue skies and white clouds have gradually become the norm.
Battle of clear water
Water pollution is water caused by harmful chemicals that reduce or lose the use value of water and pollute the environment. The acids, alkalis, oxides and organic poisons in sewage will poison aquatic life and affect drinking water sources and scenic spots.
The sources of water pollution caused by human production activities are mainly divided into: industrial wastewater and residues, chemical pesticides and municipal solid waste. Among them, industrial wastewater discharged without treatment is the most harmful. It not only contains many pollutants and has complex components, but can also cause water eutrophication, green algae and other problems.
In order to solve the problem of water pollution, it is mainly necessary to reduce and eliminate the amount of wastewater discharged by pollutants and improve water quality from the source, which itself is also achieving carbon emission reduction.
In 2022, seven departments including the Ministry of Ecology and Environment jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for Synergetic Efficiency in Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction", which mentioned promoting collaborative control of water environment governance in optimizing environmental governance. Carry out carbon emission calculations for urban sewage treatment and resource utilization, and optimize energy consumption and carbon emission management of sewage treatment facilities. Guided by resource utilization, ecology and sustainability, we will promote centralized or decentralized treatment and nearby reuse of rural domestic sewage according to local conditions.
Pure Land Defense War
All things in nature thrive on the earth, so soil pollution can also threaten food and environmental security.
Land pollution is generally a phenomenon in which pollutants produced by human activities enter the soil and accumulate to a certain extent, causing the original physical and chemical properties of the soil to deteriorate and causing harm to humans, animals and plants. According to different pollution sources, it can be divided into four categories: industrial pollution, transportation pollution, agricultural pollution and domestic pollution.
The main measures to control soil pollution include: reducing the use of pesticides; purifying soil pollutants through plant absorption or biodegradation; increasing the application of organic fertilizers; soil replacement and soil plowing and other measures.
In May 2016, the State Council issued and implemented the "Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan", which became the program for national soil pollution prevention and control during China's "13th Five-Year Plan" and beyond.
At present, the overall soil environmental quality in China remains stable, and the soil environmental safety of agricultural land and construction land has been basically guaranteed. There have been no incidents of excessive levels of pollutants in agricultural products due to soil pollution in agricultural land in any pilot area.
