Purpose & Scientific Principle
The exhibits set up a labyrinth with the theme of biomass energy, simulating the power generation process to connect various key nodes in series, allowing the audience to understand the principles of biomass energy power generation and the factors that affect power generation.
How to Operate
Biomass energy is an internationally recognized zero-carbon renewable energy that is green, low-carbon, and clean. In particular, it can generate electricity or heat through combustion, anaerobic treatment, chemical treatment, etc. Bio-natural gas, bio-liquid fuel, and bio-solid fuel are almost the same as the supply form of fossil energy, and have better adaptability to the energy consumption form of equipment in the current industrial system. They are important transitional energy sources in the electrification process of our country, and are also irreplaceable sources of renewable energy in some areas that are difficult to electrify.
Biomass energy is solar energy stored in biomass in the form of chemical energy. It is the fourth largest energy source in the world after oil, coal and natural gas. It is green, low-carbon, clean and renewable. The development and utilization of biomass energy plays an important role in responding to global climate change, solving the contradiction between energy supply and demand, and protecting the ecological environment. It is an important measure to promote China's energy production and consumption revolution and energy transformation.
As a major agricultural country, my country is rich in biomass resources, with an annual production of approximately 3.49 billion tons. my country's biomass resources mainly include agricultural and forestry waste, organic domestic waste, waste oils, algae, etc., of which livestock and poultry manure accounts for about 54%, annual crop straw production accounts for about 24%, forestry residues account for about 10%, and domestic waste accounts for about 9%. As the intensification of livestock and poultry breeding continues to increase and the scale of breeding continues to expand, the production of livestock and poultry manure in my country has increased significantly, with the annual production reaching about 1.9 billion tons, of which pig, cattle, sheep, and poultry manure resources dominate, especially pig production accounting for more than 50% of the total. The provinces with larger scale of livestock and poultry breeding in the country include Henan, Shandong, Sichuan, etc.
my country's annual crop straw production is about 830 million tons, of which the three major food crop straws of corn, rice, and wheat are 3.72 billion tons, 1.91 billion tons, and 1.47 billion tons respectively, accounting for 84.8% of the total national production. The spatial distribution of straw is affected by factors such as geographical environment and climatic conditions. It is mainly concentrated in Northeast China, North China and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It generally shows a ladder-like distribution characteristic of "high in the east and low in the west, high in the north and low in the south".
Direct combustion: biomass is put into the boiler and burned directly, and the steam generated directly supplies heat or drives a steam turbine and generator to generate electricity.
Garbage treatment: Avoid methane emissions caused by ordinary landfilling of garbage by treating garbage. Treatment methods include incineration for power generation or heating, anaerobic treatment, landfill gas recovery, etc.
Biogas recycling: It is mainly aimed at livestock and poultry manure and sewage treatment projects to avoid or reduce methane emissions from conventional treatment while recycling biogas. Composting projects, which do not recycle biogas, belong to the treatment of livestock and poultry manure, and are often a production link of biogas projects, so they fall into this category.
Biomass gasification: cracking and gasifying biomass to produce combustible gas for energy utilization.
Bioliquid fuel: Convert food waste or oil crops into bioliquid fuels such as biodiesel and jet fuel through chemical methods.
The exhibits are designed to simulate the principles and processes of biomass power generation. A maze with the theme of biomass energy is set up on the table. Various biomass energy production institutions are distributed in the maze, such as farms, garbage disposal stations, factories, etc. When the ball passes through these production institutions, it will trigger sensors to generate electricity. The interactive game allows the audience to understand the process of biomass energy generation, guide the audience to think about the factors that affect biomass energy generation, and at the same time make the audience aware of the necessity of developing biomass energy generation.
